9/17/05: Someone industrious fellow spammed
the guest book with links to various sites. I'm
touched that someone actually found the guest book, and amused that none
of the links go anywhere in particular.
Okay, after nineteen of these updates I temporarily removed the functionality
that automatically includes the post in the guestbook. I'll add it back
when the storm has passed. I'm still glad someone was using it, even if it
was a thickheaded spamalot.
I took the guest book down altogether to finally deter
bestoflife@hotmail.com from trying to spam it - it wasn't working, but I was
getting tired of the emails telling me they were trying. I'm leaving the
email address up here in the hope that it will encourage more crap to arrive in
the inbox of
bestoflife@hotmail.com (and yes, I repeated it just to be extra sure).
It probably won't work, since a Google search shows at least 175 guest books
that were similarly maligned . . . wtf? Never heard of this kind of crap.
Amazing. I'll put the book back up after
bestoflife@hotmail.com gets a clue, but likely with some revisions to
prevent further abuse.
