| Born into the Great Depression
in Illinois, Dick Ward was the eldest of the three sons which blessed the
lives of Russ and Nina Ward. He was married for forty-six years to his
devoted wife Connie, rearing five children with her, and caring for her for
the last six years of his life before a fall on his seventy-second birthday
led to his death - far too young for a man of his passion and vigor.
This page is a work in progress; developing as a memoriam to
a good man. The links on the left* include
his
obituary and
guest book, so you may pay your respects; and pages of
photos, Dick's
favorite books and recipes, some of his most
memorable quotes, and links to
crossword puzzles (Dick was an avid fan!), so
you may get to know him better. There is also a
stories page, where anecdotes from Dick's life are put into print.
Since Dick gave of his wallet and time, there is a page devoted to
donations of suitable nature.
If you have any suggestions to add to this project, please
use the feedback form to add your two cents.
Contributions to any of the areas of this page are also quite welcome.
