| Recent Character Developments Dexter is so far removed from the fireman he once was that his old crew would barely recognize him. He has lately starting scratching out occasional entries in a journal of scrap paper with a stub of a pencil that he scrounged up. He is pondering whether violence is truly the answer to this undying scourge. Able is trained to violence, and does not doubt its ability to win the day. More ammo, more guns, and a backup axe will do more the carry out his ultimate orders: survive until someone again takes command. Hangtooth: You stand up, a
buzzing in your ears fading away as you do so. Adrenaline rushes
unsteadily through your bloodstream. Holed up for a time in a
Necrotech building since he was revived, Hangtooth is determined to learn
how to use the equipment he has found to put things right in Malton.
He was a zombie for so long he cannot remember who he once was, but he knows
he must fight the good fight. |
Allied Activities Joe Plexar: Sloppy got himself into a bind by
tiring out just inside Dorrington Road Railway Station, doors wide open and
a zombie inside. JWare30 has become the greatest survivor he can, and is tired of the fight. He has gone into deep hiding. Jane Plexar has again recovered from being victimized by one or more of her patients. Jed Plexar: It had been a long day. Jed was exhausted almost on the verge of collapse. He was heading home to his safehouse at the Redmond Museum after a long successful trek to clean the streets of Pennville of zombies. He is one block from his goal when he happens upon a zombie mauling a poor fragile survivor at Sibree Plaza. Thinking quickly, he whips out a med-kit and throws it to the poor guy while in the same motion he draws on the zombie. He pumps the undead bastard with a few round, when suddenly in the corner of his eye he detects movement. Something skittering across the floor to his left. In that brief moment of distraction the zombie made his move, taking a swipe at Jed. He avoids the blow but loses his footing on some debris and falls, his gun still discharging a few rounds, into the already weak survivor, killing him! Jed screams, "no!!!" He redirects his gun toward the zombie and pumps a few more rounds into him but he is still standing! Then he hears the sound he dreads, "Click click click click," as he is out of ammo. Jed knows if he doesn't make it to the museum now he never will. Tears in his eyes, swearing bloody vengeance, he leaps past the zombie over the fence of a nearby junkyard and from there over a few cars into the window of the Redmond museum. There he collapses into a sobbing mess. Today is a sad day for Jed. The first time he killed an innocent with friendly fire. He never even knew his name. His hope is that someday he will find the corpse and restore him to life. Jed soon recovered from this failure and, loaded with ammo went out looking for vengeance upon the horde. Zombies were scarce in Pennville, Fryerbank, and Penny Heights, but soon he came upon a lone zombie in Osmondville. And a sad day it was for the vile creature. First a test shot with a pistol to see how sturdy he was, and then shotgun all the way down to the floor. Jed wasted a few shells in his fury turning the corpse into hamburger. He moved ahead. Another 2 zombies. So he engages. The first is tasting his wrath, and looking like its on its last legs, when Jed spies two more working over a survivor a block away. His mind flashes back to last evening, time seems to stand still as he relives his fatal mistake. The two in front of him become inconsequential as his is focus now on saving John Doe over there. Just like all the other poor helpless. He walks past the two, ducking their blows but not really paying attention. They are a snack for later now. He walks past them an icy look in his eyes. Without looking back his right hand smoothly adjusts its grip as it crosses over to his left side his weapon now going under his left arm and he unloads a few more rounds, as his walk quickly becomes a run. Thud … the one he left for inconsequential is even more so as it takes a shot in the eye and goes down. His rotten brains splattered on the street and his vile viscous juices leaking out. But that corpse is only a shadow in Jed’s mind now and John Doe is looking like he is going to bite the dust. Screaming to distract the two rending corpses, he brings his weapon around left-handed, working the hammer in quick succession as the two take alternating shots. Thud thud. They both lay immobile in the street. John Doe has been saved with a precious 7HP left to spare. Now Jed wheels around to the last he left behind. Shots ring out. But then part of his nightmare returns!! Click click click. Not again. . . out of ammo! Then Jed, who has been practicing with his axe for weeks, finally realized he can put it to good use. He holsters his pistol and unsheathes the axe. Swish swish swish. Jed didn’t realize it would be this hard to swing. Swish swish. The rotten creature is an agile one. Jed cannot hit it and he is now exhausted. Swish swish. He curses under his breath. “Tonight you live to lurk the streets, foul maggot!” he shouts in anger as he enters the barricaded Spong Building from the fire escape. |
| Hit List Not all survivors and zombies are allied to their own kind. Here you will find a list of the cannibals that destroy each other. Sadly, the first on this list is also among our allies. |
